Italian – Alcaravea
The restaurant is a little tough to find but well worth it. It is quaint and Enrique Cabo San Lucas restaurants, the chef and owner trained in Little Italy in Toronto so the food is very authentic. It is also inexpensive! Don’t be too alarmed that the menu doesn’t have any prices, all entrees come with either soup or salad to start and prices range from $15-$20. They have a small fee for corkage so feel free to bring your favorite wine with you. Reservations recommended.
Italian – La Dolce
A great restaurant in Cabo San Lucas for families and people looking for casual Italian food. Their wood-fired oven turns out great thin crust pizza. Have a special favorite that you don’t see on the menu, they’ll make anything you ask for. Reservations recommended.
Sushi – Nick San
www.nicksan.com – is the best sushi you will ever have. They have very unique roles and their sauces are delicious. If you like sushi you will love Nick San. The restaurant is lively & if you sit at the sushi bar the chefs are very interactive with you. For non-sushi guests, there are great alternatives. Reservations recommended.
Sushi – Koi Sushi
A new staple in Cabo San Lucas restaurants, Two of the chefs from Nick San opened their own up at the Walmart Mall food court, Prices are about half of what Nick San is, and equally as good. Try it!
Steak House – Edith’s
www.edithscabo.com – is a must while you are in Cabo. It is a short walk from Medano Beach and is a wonderful dining experience. The food is an excellent mixture of fresh seafood, steaks, Mexican dishes… There is something on the menu for everyone. It is a gorgeous setting & the atmosphere is festive and lively. Reservations definitely recommended. Ask to be seated below the palapa on the other side of the bar.
Mexican – The Office
www.theofficeonthebeach.com – is owned by Edith (above) and is on Medano Beach. The tables are right on the sand under umbrellas. They serve excellent food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We love breakfast there or go for lunch and stay all day drinking their delicious margaritas. They have live music every evening from 7-10 pm and a Mexican Fiesta on Thursday nights. Happy Hour (2 for 1) is every day from 3-5 pm. They have music most nights usually a mix of smooth jazz and oldies, Reservations HIGHLY recommended.
Upscale Mexican – El Restaurante at Esperanza
www.esperanzaresort.com/dining/. Hotel Esperanza is just outside of Cabo on the corridor and is a gorgeous resort. The tables are set out over the rocks and the waves crashing in below. It is truly stunning. A little heavy on the pocketbook (entrees are between $30 and $45) but well worth it. Enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner in their lounge area, El Bar, it has a beautiful fire pit and lives music. You might even catch a glimpse of a movie star as it tends to be a destination for the stars. You must reservations for access to the property.
Ruth Chris Steakhouse
